Icy Side Studios, Chiaroscuro-The Game, and news

It's been a long time since I made a journal entry, since I found out about the death of my friend but I'm here to tell you all about some important updates.  As of recently my best computer's hard drive has corrupted and rendered it unusable.  This has forced me to take drastic measures and use my mini laptop as a backup to continue my work.  This means I can no longer animate in high qualities and have lost a few files here and there, but I have demonstrated with my latest works of Natsumi that I am not going to give up on seeing through my dream as Henry would have his.  In fact, because of this fiasco I have opened my mind to other skills that may be useful, and that led me to the decision of making a PC game of my story Chiaroscuro.  For those who have not read it, it is an action, sci-fi fantasy with a bit of drama as well as some romance and comedy on the side.  For those who don't know, I've revamped the story a bit so the events might differ some from what was in the original writing, but no worries it is even better than it was before.  The game will be an oldschool turn based rpg.  By old school I am meaning going back to the days when RPGs weren't so easy and had more interesting stories and strategy to them.  I will be uploading animated gifs of a few sprites here and there to further demonstrate my meaning of oldschool. 

Anyway, in regards to that and future endeavors, I have created a studio called Icy Side Studios, and though the team is small, many new projects will be coming through here in due time.  There is a facebook page for that and I would appreciate it if all of you who watch me and have facebook like the page and share it with your friends.  www.facebook.com/icysidestudio…

In other news, once we have completed enough of the game to have very good screenshots among other things, there will be an effort to get the project on Kickstarter for donations and funding for the completion of the full game as well as the tools and various other hands that will be needed to make it.  Those who donate will be rewarded with many things including free copies of the game, free commissions and more!  But all that will be stated on Kickstarter when it's all said and done.  We're aiming to have this up there by the end of the month, so expect another update before then.  Until then enjoy the pixel art and animations that will come and thank you all for watching me, you're good people.
